It seems like Thanksgiving was yesterday, but if that was true, we wouldn't have spent all day Saturday making Christmas cookies and the rest of the week sending them off to our friends.

They're almost all gone now. To be truthful, I'm ready to move on from sugar cookies. I'm ready for pie again, for example, or ice cream. But we've also been loving the local satsuma mandarins and clementines. They are so easy to peel, perfectly sweet and juicy.
We're heading home for the holidays – together! on the same plane! – and we can't wait. We're crossing our fingers we'll see some snow. More than a flurry.
