Our heat isn't working, and this morning we had record lows in the 20s. Elliott made me a fire, and to speed up the warming process, I made a coffee cake. The oven helped heat the kitchen, and the smell of cinnamon and brown sugar made the cold outside more bearable.
I think the girls are starting to wonder why they can't come in, too.
